DevOps Platform Care
Contents
DevOps Platform Care is my recurring service for software teams that need their delivery platform to stay reliable and improve over time, without hiring a full-time Platform Engineer.
It is a strong fit for smaller and medium-sized software companies using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitLab, where platform work is important but usually shared across developers, tech leads, or engineering managers.
If you want the broader overview of how this fits into my services, start on the services page.
What Platform Care includes
Platform Care is about recurring attention to the systems and standards that support delivery.
- Setup and maintenance of Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitLab
- CI/CD pipeline optimization across one or multiple repositories
- Reusable YAML templates and standardization
- Security and quality checks such as SonarCloud and GitLeaks
- Automation of repetitive workflow and release tasks
- Support around Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and GitOps where needed
What teams get from it
- More reliable pipelines and fewer recurring delivery issues
- Better developer workflows and less context switching into tooling problems
- A platform that is maintained instead of only fixed when something breaks
- Senior DevOps and Platform Engineering support without a full-time hire
- A practical mix of advice, implementation, and continuous improvement
How the engagement works
We usually start with a short introduction call and, when useful, a DevOps Platform Scan to make the priorities explicit.
From there, Platform Care can take different forms depending on what your team needs most:
- Recurring support for maintenance, optimization, and follow-up work
- Part-time reinforcement for a period where continuity is missing
- A mix of support and focused implementation around a specific roadmap
When this is a good fit
- Your team has one or more development teams but no dedicated platform owner
- Pipelines, permissions, templates, and standards need ongoing attention
- Developers are spending too much time on ad-hoc DevOps work
- You want continuity and improvement without a heavy transformation program
Related implementation work
Platform Care often connects directly to focused improvement projects such as:
- CI/CD pipeline setup or modernization
- Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitLab governance improvements
- Infrastructure as Code and platform automation
- Kubernetes or GitOps onboarding
- Release automation and build agent optimization
Next step
If you want to discuss whether ongoing Platform Care fits your team, or whether it makes sense to start with a Platform Scan first, plan an introduction call.
